The annual assembly of the Institut Européen de la Forêt Cultivée (IEFC) will be held this year in April in Donostia-San Sebastián

Donostia-San Sebastian will host the General Assembly of the Institut Européen de la Forêt Cultivée (IEFC) on April 8 and 9. A seminar co-organized by the USSE together with HAZI and NEIKER will be held in the framework of the assembly to provide an overview of existing tools for monitoring forest health as well as to open avenues for further cooperation between the Atlantic Arc regions and to assess the potential of the IEFC network to facilitate the exchange of relevant information between members and regions with planted forests. 

In addition, another seminar on private funding opportunities for research will be held at the General Assembly to analyze financing and cooperation alternatives for R+D+i and transfer in forest bioeconomy, taking as a reference successful models. The objective is to explore a possible collaborative financing system managed by the IEFC, identifying funding sources and collaboration strategies that guarantee the sustainability of the sector. A field visit to Pagoeta Natural Park will take place on April 9.
